While New York (6 teams), Pennsylvania (6 teams), and Ohio (5 teams) do not share this same climate, they are all states with popular Major League Baseball Teams and fans. North Carolina has eleven MiLB teams, California has eight, and Texas has eight. Other states with many Minor League teams also have good weather conditions throughout the year. Because baseball has games in the fall, a sunny state is a natural home for baseball teams. This makes sense because Florida has weather that allows for play and practice year-round. ![]() States With Many Minor League Teamsįlorida is the state with the most Minor League teams. Players often move from these teams to Major League play. Triple-A is the highest level of Minor League Baseball. Each of these has thirty teams broken up into two to three leagues. Moving up the levels there are the Single-A, High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A classifications. There are 85 teams at the rookie level with 18 in the Arizona Complex League, 20 in the Florida Complex League, and 47 in the Dominican Summer League.
